Preparing for Your Couple Session

Excited for your couple’s session? Here are some tips to help you get ready and make the most of it!

Outfits: Outfits: Start by selecting a color palette of 2 or 3 colors, then build your outfits around that. This helps keep your look cohesive without being too matchy. Stick to neutral colors that complement each other and avoid busy patterns, stripes, or big logos, as they can distract from the overall look. If we’re shooting in nature, avoid green; for urban settings, skip gray or grunge tones. Dress comfortably, and make sure your styles coordinate.

Shoes: Make sure you’re both wearing shoes you’re comfortable walking in. We’ll be moving around, and the ability to walk easily is key—especially for those candid moments!

Weather: It can get windy here, so choose outfits that won’t blow around too much.

Hair & Makeup: Ladies, go for natural makeup that highlights your features. Men, a clean shave or well-groomed look goes a long way!

Bags: Keep your bags to a minimum. I need my hands free to capture those candid moments between locations, and no one wants a backpack ruining the shot! If you plan to bring a change of clothes, keep it consolidated or leave it in the car.

Things to Avoid: Skip the sunglasses and super tight clothes that might limit your comfort or movement. Crazy patterns can also be distracting in photos, so it’s best to avoid those as well.

Be Yourself: Above all, wear something that reflects your personalities. When you feel confident and comfortable, it will show in every shot!

Looking forward to capturing your beautiful moments together!
